＊ be better off ---> 1) 是 be well off 的比較級，最高級是be best off
2) 意思是處境較好/生活較優裕/漸入佳境/更富裕/較幸福.......
ex: He will be better off in hospital. 如果他住院查看的話，病情定會好轉
＊ be bettter off + V-ing ---> 最好做某事/做某事比較妥當
(也可以用 S + had better + V 或 It is/will be better for + S + to V)
翻譯--> 他最好把這件事告訴警方

＊ 雙重否定用法:
句型 There + be + no + N + but + V ---> 無 ~ 而不~ (有兩個否定，也就是負負得正)
否定詞 準關係代名詞

There's no one but knows it. = There is no one who does not know it.
