actually, in word, you can pre-set the path for those unsaved file / crashed file, ==>tools==>option
look into those tabs.... (i forgot and i m now using openoffice, i cannot check it myself)
IMPORTANT: DON'T FORGET TO ACTIVATE THE AUTOSAVE FUNCTION IN OFFICE (WORD, EXCEL, ETC), OTHERWISE, YOU'LL NEVER FIND THE TEMP FILE ..... AND THE TEMP FILE WILL CONTAIN ONLY THE LAST AUTOSAVED INFORMATION, I.E. YOU NEVER CAN RECOVER IT IN FULL.
another tip: it get crash, don't open the original file immediately, instead, you should open the shell only, i.e. open the word from start menu instead of clicking the orginal file because once u click the original file, all temp information will be lost, otherwise, word MAY auto recover for you....good luck.
