個人想法：
cross my fingers，合起手指，當然是指「禱告」啊！為你禱告，表示為您祈福，另一人當然要表示感謝之意！

後面一句是「那對我來說相當有激勵效用」，前面一句「我在工作上得到很大的鼓舞」！通常當名詞解釋時，raise為美式用，rise為英式法！兩者皆可適用！
但當動詞解釋時，rise指「上升」，為不及物動詞，raise指「提升」為及物動詞，就完全不同！若此是改為動詞的用法，只能用raise，例如
It raised me up at   much better wages of the work.
